Weird NJ x Underground Collaboration
Weird NJ x Underground Skate Shop — A Jersey Collaboration
New Jersey has always been a little different — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
For decades, Weird NJ has documented the strange, unexplained, forgotten, and legendary side of the Garden State. From haunted roads and abandoned places to local folklore and the legendary Jersey Devil, Weird NJ has become part of New Jersey culture by celebrating the stories and places that make our state unlike anywhere else.
Now, Weird NJ and Underground Skate Shop are coming together for a special collaboration celebrating New Jersey, skateboarding, art, and everything weird.
Two Jersey Originals
Underground has always been about more than skateboarding. Since opening our doors in New Jersey in 2010, the shop has been a meeting place for skateboarding, music, art, and the people who make up our local scene.
That independent spirit is something we share with Weird NJ. Both of us have spent years looking beyond the obvious and celebrating a side of New Jersey you don't always see from the highway.
It made sense to finally put the two worlds together.
Keep Jersey Weird
From the Jersey Devil hiding somewhere in the Pine Barrens to skate spots hidden throughout our towns and cities, New Jersey has never been short on stories.
This collaboration celebrates that side of our home state — independent, creative, sometimes strange, and always unmistakably Jersey.
Underground x Weird NJ Collection
Launching Halloween Day, the limited-edition Underground x Weird NJ Collection features a range of custom collaborative merchandise inspired by skateboarding and New Jersey's wonderfully strange history.
The collection includes skateboard decks, T-shirts, long-sleeve T-shirts, zip hoodies, beanies, pins, buttons, and other limited accessories created especially for the collaboration.
The collection will officially be available in-store at Underground Skate Shop on Halloween, October 31st.
We’re kicking things off with three new skateboard decks!
The first is a hand-numbered deck, limited to just 75 pieces, featuring Devil’s Tower in the style of a classic Weird NJ Magazine cover, with photography by Jordan Galiano. Next is the “Roadside Attractions” deck, hand-drawn by John Cozz and showcasing iconic roadside attractions and skate spots. Rounding out the lineup is a white glow-in-the-dark deck featuring “Underground” in the signature Weird NJ font.
Apparel
First up is the Red Eyed Mike Long-Sleeve T-Shirt, featuring front-and-back screen printing inspired by Clifton’s Gates of Hell, with artwork by Markus Weeks.
The “Tarot Card” T-Shirt comes in two colors and features a devil’s hand holding tarot cards in an old-school traditional tattoo style, hand-drawn by Niz. The design also appears on a black zip-up hoodie, paired with a “P-Gram” chenille patch on the chest.
Completing the apparel lineup is a black work jacket with a “P-Gram” chenille patch on the front and a large cross chenille patch on the back.
Headwear
For the hat lovers, we have the “Weird UG” Beanie, featuring a neon-green stitched label and available in black, charcoal, and red.
New to the lineup is a black cadet-style hat with the same neon-green “Weird UG” label, a “P-Gram” pin, and three buttons. This one is sure to be a fan favorite!
Accessories
The collection also includes a four-piece custom sticker pack inspired by the collaboration, plus a pin and button pack featuring the same “P-Gram” pin and three buttons available with the cadet hat.
We’re adding a “P-Gram” logo shot glass, along with two drinking glasses featuring our “P-Gram” and cross logos. These glasses are something new for us, and we’re excited to bring them to the collection.
From limited-edition decks to apparel, headwear, and accessories, this collaboration celebrates everything weird, unexpected, and uniquely New Jersey.
We’re stoked to share this collection with you and hope you’re just as excited as we are!
And because simply dropping the collection wasn't enough, we're making a day of it.
Hope to see you all there!!
